Rio Grande do Sul has a robust financial system to support long-term investment projects. There are three public financial institutions dedicated to promoting investments in the State:
Badesul, a development agency linked to the Secretariat for Economic Development, Science and Technology (SDECT), seeks to promote the economic and social development of Rio Grande do Sul, offering a set of long-term financial solutions for projects in the public sector and companies private. Badesul specializes in financial solutions for industry, commerce, services, infrastructure and innovation.
The Development Bank of the States of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná, specializing in long-term financing, provision of guarantees and assistance in forwarding corporate projects with other institutions (BNDES, FINEP, etc.).
Banrisul is a publicly traded multiple bank controlled by the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Since July 2007, it has been listed on Level 1 of Corporate Governance of BM&FBovespa SA - Stock, Commodities and Futures Exchange. Banrisul's shares compose the calculation of seven Stock Exchange Indices, indicated below, having also been included in the recently created Broad Brazil Index (IBrA).
It offers a wide range of financial products, such as personal, real estate and export and import credit, long-term financing with its own resources and with resources obtained from government institutions, lines of credit for agriculture and livestock, business credit, in addition to various types of investments and services.
