Program of support to Technology Hubs


The objective of this program is to disseminate innovation to the predominant productive sectors in each region through encouragement, support and coordination of the integration between universities, research centers, productive sector and society, focusing on the development of innovative technologies suitable to the different vocations of the RS. The program already supports 25 technology centers across the Rio Grande do Sul, focusing on the following areas of knowledge:

  • Agribusiness, Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Biotechnology in Agriculture and Forestry
  • Environment, Biotechnology, Energy, Telecommunications and Renewable Fuels
  • Engineering, Materials, Carbochemical and Mining, Ceramics, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, metallic and semiconducting nanostructures
  • Information Technology, Automation, Electroelectronics and Mechatronics
  • Design, Leather and Footwear, Furniture, Tourism, Textiles, Stones, Gems and Jewelry
  • Industrial Development and Modernization
  • Metal-mechanic
  • Health

In 2015 another 15 projects were established, with over $5 million invested for their execution.
