environmental licensing

Enterprises or activities that use natural environmental resources, which are considered effective or potentially polluting or that may cause environmental degradation, must obligatorily require environmental licensing to install in the State.

Issuance of licenses, authorizations, permits and other documents are carried out by the Secretariat for the Environment (SEMA), which operates through the State Foundation for Environmental Protection (FEPAM). The InvestRS and Sala do Investidor team mediate the investor's relationship with FEPAM so that the licensing takes place in an agile and transparent manner.

In environmental licensing, impacts caused by the project are evaluated, such as the potential or capacity to generate polluting liquids (wastewater and effluents), solid waste, atmospheric emissions, noise and risk potential.
