Rio Grande do Sul is one of the Brazilian states with the highest number of accesses to Cellular Mobile Telephony, Fixed Telephony and Broadband Internet.

According to ANATEL¹ data, Rio Grande do Sul ranked 6th among Brazilian states in June 2022, with 13,525,558 accesses to Mobile Telephony, which corresponded to a density of around 102.0 accesses per 100 population. The number of mobile accesses in RS is higher than the number of inhabitants, as in Brazil, and the evolution of the number of accesses showed a stabilization trend from 2016, both in the State and in the country.

As for Broadband Internet, according to ANATEL, in June 2022 Rio Grande do Sul ranked 4th among Brazilian states, with a density of 26.9 accesses per 100 inhabitants, reaching a total of 3,077,895 accesses.

Digitization in the State of Rio Grande do Sul has reached very high levels. Note that 91% of homes in the state have internet. At government level, 93% of the services offered to the population are already digitized.
